Arrived to sydney

Today we arrived me and jen to Sydney at 7am after a 24 hour flying, it didn’t take us more than 10 minutes to finish the customs and visa procedure the people are nice and warmer than in new York which gave me a good impression, of course jen forced me to throw the food I have since as she said I am not allowed to bring to the country any food which happen to be a couple of sandwiches J but its jen anyway
We found Jen’s Dad; mum and best friend denies waiting for us.
I ve only met Denise before for 10 minutes in Germany conference in August 2004
Anyway I was worried in the beginning about meeting jen’s parent especially her mum cause I really heard a lot about how difficult she is, which turned out after a while to be the sweatiest, funniest and coolest Irish character I ve met in my life, she is hilarious and so funny with her Irish Accent especially when she say fack as fuck and Jesus when she get disgusted of something.
None the less I was suffering from a severe jetlag that made me feel the whole day as if I am on a boat in a rough ocean. But we stayed awake that day till night so we can balance.
Anyway we went home dropped our bags and jen’s mum took us out for breakfast at an amazing beach called googe beach and I had bacon and eggs as I love it.
The view was really amazing and I felt home I don’t know why but maybe because of the sea which remind me a lot with Alexandria my city in Egypt.
You know all Coastal Cities look like each other in a way or another.
We went for a quick shopping I am with Jean, Jennifer’s mum in the car and Jennifer with Denise her best friend.
We had couple of talked about the culture in Egypt and how does she think Egypt is, and I found out that she is a typical Irish lady that would think Egypt is a dessert and we treat our women badly also because she read the book “not without my daughter” about a girl who got married in the Arab world and suffered a lot.
We went back home and I feel terrible because I am still tired from the jet lag.
That night we slept by 9:30 pm
Sydney is such an amazing city with its people especially they are so worm and nice, but still to be honest NYC is my favorite which I seriously feel home don’t ask me why. This fact doesn’t please jen so much.
The impression I got about Sydney so far that it is a mix of Western and eastern culture actually from the side of food and people attitude, but it is fullllll of cockroaches they are every where the fuckers, “ I hate the fackers” as jen’s mum says, while it is the cleanest city I ve seen in my life.
